Wedding Catering Spotlight – Whitney & Tanner
We’re going to be featuring our favorite stories from some of the couples we’ve recently gotten a chance to work with. These couples have experienced “The Relish Way”, and we’re grateful to have been part of their special day.
With spring and summer wedding season right around the corner, this first feature is meant to inspire those of you who are still figuring out certain details!
We’d like to introduce: Whitney & Tanner.
Whitney initially heard about us through Gabby, her wedding planner at Banks + Leaf who helped her bring her vision to life. In June 2017, Whitney and Tanner celebrated their bond with their 200 guests at the historic Grant-Humphrey’s Mansion.
We got in touch with Whitney and asked her a few questions about their special day:
What Inspired Your Menu?
“Our menu was inspired by our guests! We really wanted people to feel a strong sense of hospitality from us. Aside from that, we wanted a global menu, since our various travels were a big influence on the wedding overall.”
What was your favorite menu item?
“Oh my gosh the french onion soup dumplings were amazing, especially after a long day of wedding prep.”
Tell us something special about the reception!
“We had a neon sign custom made to go behind our table! My new last name is “Lowe” so we used the phrase “Lowe & Behold” in script that my sister actually hand-lettered before we sent the design to the neon artist.”
What was your favorite aspect about working with Relish?
“My Relish reps were always so friendly! I would call them super stressed out, and the person on the other side would be so much more calm than me. It was the best.”
What is your advice for couples who are in the planning phase?
“Don’t overthink your theme. Just pick details that you like together, and it will ultimately form a wedding that is true to who you are.”
Going through the Relish Way means we’ll be there with you from start to finish. Once you have your venue details in place, we want to listen to your story and come up with a customized menu for your day. Our team of event designers will help you sort out all the details from there.
If you’re still unsure of where to start, don’t worry! We’ve got plenty of ideas so feel free to contact us and let’s get planning!
If you’d like to read more about Whitney’s and Tanner’s wedding story, keep an eye out for their feature on the next spring/summer Rocky Mountain Bride print magazine which will be on stands this April!
