Wedding Catering Spotlight – Amanda & Ryan
At Relish, we pride ourselves on creating memorable and meaningful relationships with each client. Through those partnerships, we are able to craft an experience that is unique and unforgettable.
To help light the fire of inspiration for future couples, we love sharing the stories behind weddings we’ve been a part of. For this feature, we bring you Amanda & Ryan.
What inspired the couple’s menu?
“The inspiration for the entire wedding came about once we picked the venue. Solterra was like an Italian Villa with gorgeous views of the mountains. From there choosing the menu was easy. I grew up surrounded by a large italian family, so it seemed so fitting. Ryan’s love of wine and travel played in perfectly. We tried to make the appetizers special to us, even having meat pies to represent Ryan’s Aussie family who flew in for the wedding.”
What was your favorite menu item?
“Chicken Romesco! This sauce is good on just about everything. So much so that I have purchased large quantities to keep in my freezer at all times. Every food item was fabulous, even down to the butter that had black sea salt on it. Every detail was thought about which made the menu shine. They even saved us some appetizers and brought it to our table, making sure we didn’t miss out on trying the food we picked.”
What is one funny thing that happened during the day?
“The day started out raining, overcast and chilly. The sun came out just as I walked down the isle! It was perfect. And all the boys were on time, which is a miracle.”
Tell us something special about the reception.
“One of the best parts about the reception was the speeches from our loved ones. Every speech was so different, yet perfect.”
What was your favorite aspect about working with Relish?
“Every detail was thought about. Relish basically played the role of my wedding planner, helping me plan out every detail. They thought of everything and were so easy to work with. Even on the day of, they made everything run so smooth. We had an extra guest and they made room for her at the table with no questions asked.”
What’s your advice to couples who are in the planning phase?
“RELAX. This is supposed to be fun. If you make it an enjoyable experience, it can be. I loved planning my wedding and wouldn’t change any decision that I made. Always remind yourself that this is YOUR day and a time to have both families together, which rarely happens. I was so excited for the wedding day, but I was also sad when it was over. We enjoyed every minute of the day and Relish played a huge part in keeping things simple, yet perfect.”
